Message #8: A new year dawns…

Hello friends, just a quick message today about some thoughts I’ve been having. This year has been so inspiring for me. I’ve met some amazing human beings here. You are all so talented, kind, and humble. It gives me hope for my future.

I’m really close to 250 followers when this time last year I had around 10. I can’t wait for 2019 I have so many new things coming for you all, so many fresh ideas, concepts, and stories.

I’ll be updating you properly in January on all the fun things you’ll be able to expect. Until then I want to thank you all for your unending support and kindness. To all my loyal followers who like everything I write, from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Have a wonderful Monday and happy writing.

Love,

Jaycee.

Message # 5 – Stream of Consciousness

Hello friends, I just have a stream of consciousness for you today because I don’t have time for my usual Friday post.

If you don’t know I’m doing a PhD and I have an annual review today. Although I’m nervous, I’m very excited to discuss my research. Here is a sneak peek at my presentation:

This week I reached 200 followers on this platform and I am forever grateful for each one of you. This community is supportive, creative, and completely kind. My whole life is consumed by writing and although I’m 28 years young, I only realised that 2 years ago. This platform is the place for me.

Whether I post a fictional story, a rant about traffic or simply a healing post on my mental illness, you are all wonderfully complementary.

It is people like you that make this world a healthy place for the imagination. Your simple acts of kindness whether that be a comment on my blog or something in your day to day life, is revolutionary.

If I ever make it to 500 followers I’ll do another collaborative post like my 100th follower post. Today though, all I have for you is gratitude and humility. We lift each other up, and no success is won alone.

Thank you,

Jaycee.

Message #3 – Blogger Recognition Award!

Before we go anywhere I would like to extend my warm thank you and gratitude to Oh Yes, They Did, for the award.

Please go check out their page and follow them, you won’t be sorry. You’ll find delicious recipes, fun crafts, and sometimes just some sage advice you didn’t even know you needed.

How This Blog Began:

In the beginning, as a young girl, I wanted to be a teacher. Then my English teacher gave me praise and guidance. That gave me the confidence to be a writer.

When I started this blog I had my lifelong dream in mind and finally, I threw off the shackles of imposter syndrome. I signed up to this wonderful website, and everything changed.

Surrounded by amazing fellow writers and creators, I’m no longer afraid of my irrelevance. Each day I see the value of individuality. I spend more time looking up to my fellow bloggers than worrying about whether or not I deserve to be here.

I’ve spoken here about my mental illness and how my words are magic, and I stand by that. Whatever the reason for starting your blog you are joining a wonderfully supportive community and you won’t regret it.

Peace and love,

J.C ‘Jaycee’ Lynch

Advice For New Bloggers

  • Writing is magic, you can communicate with someone you never met by putting words on a page. Remember this and you will always delight in your writing.
  • You are wonderful, important, and your voice deserves to be heard, never feel as though you’re not relevant.
  • If you’re not enjoying the writing process, it means your writers won’t enjoy it. Write something you would relish in reading and you’ll be golden.
  • Finally, whatever you do, never give up. Write even when you think it’s poor, it will clear your brain out, and the good ideas will come back around. 😉
